It was established in the year 1998 with the noble mission to promote engineering education in backward area of Virudhunagar District. PSREC institution are committed to scripting a unique chapter of excellence an education and research, in vital fields like Engineering, IT and Management. The college offers Engineering Education to men and women at UG and PG levels and bring out the total personality, empasizing ethical values and preparing them to meet the growing challenges of industry and diverse societal needs of our nations.
The courses offerred in PSREC are approved by AICTE. It has been Accrediated by Natinal Board of Accrediation. PSREC offers 8 UG programmes and 3 PG programmes.
THE MANAGEMENT
The college is managed by P.S.Ramasamy Telugu Minority Educational and Charitable Trust, Sivakasi. Thiru R.Ramadoss, Chairman and Thiru R.Solaisamy Correspondent are well known for their philanthropic service towards the cause of technical education in this area. The Management has realized the need for Engineering Institution exclusively for women, due to the ever increasing enrolment of girls in P.S.R.Engineering College and the remarkable reputation of the management in adhering discipline, safe and conducive environment for the girl students to pursue their technical education. Hence the Trust has started P.S.R. Rengasamy College of Engineering for Women adjoining to the P.S.R. Group of Institutions.
