Introduction

        The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2001 with a sanctioned intake of 60. The department is housed in a separate 3 storied building with all infrastructure facilities like Aerated Spacious Class Rooms, Staff Rooms, Department Office, Girls Rest Room, etc.

The Vision of the department is

  • To offer quality academic programmes in Electrical and Electronics Engineering for development of well qualified engineers to carry out research and collaborate with industry, to become a high standard of excellence.


The Mission of the department are

  • To provide an excellent, innovative and comprehensive education in electrical and electronics engineering.

  • To create a conducive learning environment and train the students in the latest technological development domain.

  • To enhance the students potential by creating awareness on educational and career opportunities.

  • To produce competent and disciplined engineers suitable for making a successful career in industry/research.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

  • To be successful in professional career by acquiring the knowledge in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering domain and professional skills.

  • To train students with scientific and engineering principles which enable them to understand, design, analyze and provide solutions for the real time problems.

  • To involve in continuous learning and professional development by pursuing higher studies and participation in professional organizations.

  • To inculcate in students professional and ethical attitude, communication skills, leadership qualities, team work, multidisciplinary approach and an ability to relate engineering issues to broader social context.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs)

  • Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the emerging complex problems in electrical and electronics engineering.

  • Identify, formulate, research literature and solve complex electrical and electronics engineering problems using first principles of mathematics and engineering sciences.

  • Design solutions for complex electrical and electronics engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

  • Conduct investigations of complex problems including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.

  • Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering tools, including prediction and modeling, to complex electronics and communication engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

  • Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary tasks.

  • Communicate effectively with the engineering community and with society at large.

  • Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering practice.

  • Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.

  • Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a societal context and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development.

  • Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of management and business practices and their limitations.

  • Recognize the need for, and have the ability to engage in independent and life-long learning.
