      Mechanical Engineering is an evergreen branch. The department was established in the academic year 2005-2006. The department offers a four year degree program in Mechanical Engineering with an annual intake of 120 students. The department extends its services to all the branches.

      A substantial building for Mechanical Engineering accommodates various Laboratories, Lecture Halls, Drawing Halls, Seminar Hall and Department Library. All the laboratories are well established with latest equipments, Machineries & Relevant software.

      A team of dedicated, qualified, young and energetic faculty members are involved in latest teaching-learning process of the institution. All the faculty members are post graduates and they are involved in various research oriented activities and have published technical papers in National / International Conferences / Journals.


  • To provide broad-based education and training in mechanical engineering and its applications to enable the graduates to meet the demands in a rapidly changing needs in industry, academia and society.

  • Graduates will be successful in professional career by gaining thorough knowledge in the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering.

  • Graduates will engage in lifelong learning and professional development by pursuing higher studies and research.

  • Graduates will be able to lead a team with good leadership traits and good interpersonal relationship with the members in other engineering teams.


  • Apply knowledge of mathematics, physical sciences and Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.

  • Able to identify, formulate, analyze and solve mechanical engineering problems.

  • Able to design and realize mechanical engineering components and systems to meet desired needs within practical constraints such as economical, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability and sustainability.

  • Able to investigate and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.

  • Use of techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

  • Contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues related to Engineering.

  • Realize the impact of mechanical engineering solutions in a global, economic and environmental context.

  • Apply ethical principles and commitment to professional ethics and responsibility.

  • Function as an individual and as a member or leader in multidisciplinary teams.

  • Communicate effectively with the engineering community and society at large.

  • Knowledge and understanding of management and business practices and their limitations.

  • Recognize the need for, and have the ability to engage in life-long learning.
